Classes/ Workshops
We offer small, intimate classes and workshops for creatives of all levels, from beginners to advanced artists. At Creative Hive Studio, we explore a variety of mediums, from paint to fabric.

Sketchbook Practice
April Florals-Join us on Friday mornings from
8:30 AM to 10 AM for the joy of creating a sketchbook practice!
Over the course of three Fridays, we will meet to explore the unique relationship you can develop with a sketchbook. Coffee and tea will be provided.
Each session will begin with warm-up prompts, followed by time to "play" in our sketchbooks. Sketchbooks are the perfect place to experiment with different techniques and push the boundaries of creative expression. They offer a space for discovery—where you can explore your art in a whole new way. Beginners are especially welcome, as sketchbooks provide a safe place to play and create without worrying about the outcome.
A variety of mediums will be available for your use, making this a fun and joyful way to start your day. Think of it as yoga for your creativity!
What to bring: A bound sketchbook suitable for mixed media.
Registration is required as space is limited at our beautiful community art table. Come play, create, and connect with fellow creatives!
Starts Friday, April 4th, and runs through May 2nd. *(No class on April 18th, 2025.)

Mixed media Card Making
Saturday, April 12th, 10 AM – 2 PM One day only
Mixed Media Card Making – Just in time for Mother's Day, baby showers, and all those spring birthdays!
Coffee and tea will be available. Bring a lunch and feel free to stay longer if you want to keep creating. There will be some instruction and guidance as we explore using multiple mediums—from gel pens to acrylic paint—to create fun botanicals.
This workshop is suitable for all skill levels. Participants must be 18 years or older. Don't forget to pre-register—space is limited!
Create a collection of handmade cards (likely 3–6) while having fun connecting with others and playing with colour.
All supplies are provided—just wear clothes that can get a bit messy!

Beginners Acrylic Landscape
Join us for three fun-filled classes starting Tuesday, April 15th!
Learn about colour mixing, composition, and colour value as you create your own 16x20 acrylic masterpiece of the iconic view from Baldy Mountain.
No need to panic—instruction and supplies are provided (but feel free to use your own paints if you wish). Come ready to learn, and your walls will thank you!
